this is my Final Year Project... i was looking for a website that could host my Flash project cause got the music and animations and stuff..... but can't find any.. so no choice... all screenshots only.. :)
This project is cater for CHINESE kids who are preparing to go to Kindergarden.... you know.. now a days... family don't speak chinese at home... you ask them what is square in chinese... they don't even know how to answer you... and plus simple chinese tang poems... they don't know anything about those things...
and this website is for the kids and their parents... so words are for the parents to read and benjamine (the main character will communicate with the children by speach)
This is the front page... you notice it is in english... because... the child might not know a bit of chinese... so the front page is all in english... in order to create the sense of... "this is not so difficult... i understand this page.. ok.. lets go in and play" feeling..
The welcome page...
This is benjamin's bedroom... design and drawn by me... the story is this.. benjamine have this very special bed... where every time he going through that door (under the bed) he will be in a magical land...so in order to keep this fresh... the land behind the door will change every month or so... it can be candy land this month.. and then space theme next month.. then dino land... fairy land.... etc etc etc...
but you know.. FYP... we only have 3 months to complete... so i only made 1 land... :) that is candy land...
and as i have done my reasearch.. the kids will need to know 4 different topics before they step into kindergarten... that are speech, writing, counting and basic manners haygien
the 5 characters you see behind represent 1 topic... so every different theme there will be 4 different characters representing 4 different topics... again.. because of time constrain.. i only did 1...

this is the poem... i bet most of you all don't even know what is this... it is actually....
haha.. everyone SHOULD know this poem before they go into kindergarten.. well.. i knew about this before i went into kindergarten... :) and as you can see... if the kid does not know how to read 1 word.. he can roll over the word and the computer will read that word to him and explain the meaning and how you pronouce...
and for the parents...
some parents don't know what is chuang cian ming yue guang... in chinese poem.. every phrase has a meaning.. so in order not to make the parent look stupid infront of their kids... i have help for them.. there is the parents' tip... it will explain what is this poem about so they can explain to their kid in case they ask questions...
lets go back to the bed room.. as you can see around... the items make funny noise and moves when you roll over them... each of them represent different things...
If you point your pointer to the phone... it gives you this... because now technology is so advance.. we can have video conference with people in the computer... so why not for the kids too? so assuming 1 adult is accompany the kid.. (mother) and father is working... the mother can call the father using the dial at the side and can communicate through the video and speaker and mic :) kids should learn to keep in touch with their parents cause now a days... parents are always working.. and don't have time for their kids... this is a very good way to keep in touch with them...
and also...
in a kid's website... you MUST have a drawing board for them... they can draw stuff that they have learnt today and print them out and paste it on the fridge...
and also... as i have said... we are getting more and more high tech... soo... i took the idea of... downloading songs from the net and getting handphone themes and stuff downloaded into your phone.. you know kids.. take for example my niece... she is 2 and she LOVES the handphone... don't you find kids this days getting more and more interested with the handphones?
plus.. i have research on kids... that they love to mimik their parents... as parents this days are always on the phone... the kids will wan to pretend that they are parents too...
anyway.. this page... let you download ringtone from the website... (this website comes with background music...) and also the 4 games into the phone and theme for nokia phone... and also.. you can download a whole package thing for a cheaper price!...
there are other things.. like for example... the parents can download PDF file to give them tips about what to do with their kids off the computer... the PDF is with me... unable to show... cause.. is a bit troublesome to upload them.. i will find some way...
and also.. the kids have a PDF file too... it is like a activity book.. and the PDF will follow the theme of the month... and they will see the familiar character in the book... activities include counting colouring connecting the dots and tracing of chinese words...
Yup.. that's about it... :)

I am ALMOST.... done with paris hilton... only left with the right piece of skirt makeup and the background... date due is saturday.. hopefully can finish ontime..
o.. this is a separate competition... is for the noise Singapore MTV thinggy... that one.. i don't think got voting.... is all judges views... hopefully i win.. :)
